As a sales representative, you are constantly pitching your company, your product, and, of course, yourself. This is why we believe that pitching is one of the most necessary skills to learn to reach sales success. How can I control my voice tone during my pitch ?

I think the best way is to practice which means to figure out the way you are talking, the things that you should improve and adjust. Pay attention to your emotions: When you are excited, serious, calm etc. and, show it 🌟.

If I don’t have much time, what are the most fundamentals parts to put in my presentation ?

In my opinion, these are the most fundamental parts to put in your presentation : The Problem, Solution, and Traction.

Can we avoid putting numbers in our business model ?

Yes, you can! Most clients don’t need too much information. Their purpose is to know the solution to their problem.

If I lose the attention of the audience what should I do ?

These cases happen, so what I advise is maybe to switch slides, by directing their attention to what you have done so far, or you can show them the team that has been working on the project too.

Controlling my voice, gestures, eye contact all of these conditions made me under stress, how can I manage that ?

My personal opinion is to be you! The person who you are, and just practice. If you think that something will bother you during your pitch you should take it out. The most important thing “BE YOU

When should I start rehearsing ?

Days before the pitching, get people to listen to you, get their feedback, and work on improving it.

Any funny moments during your pitching ?

With all of these virtual pitching, it is funny when kids are in the background, making noise, it is stressful at the same point 😂

Do you prefer to be the one to pitch or the investor ?

I think both sides because if I have a startup idea and I believe in it, I would like to pitch it. As an investor, I believe it will be a win to win situation; investing my money will give more.

How can I track my progress when pitching ?

I think by practicing you will get used to it. When you get to the point where you have convinced them of your solution, how many products did you sell, how it can be a great fit for their problem then you are on the right path.

Do I have to change my pitch according to the culture ?

When expanding to the international market, there is a difference between selling your product in Tunisia or in Nigeria in terms of sales. However, when you are pitching your idea to an investor, and you know in which fields they do invest, the kind of solution he’s seeking. Here we are talking about the “IMPACT”. So it doesn’t matter from where you are at the end!

How much asking is important in a pitch ?

It is very important, for instance, if you are pitching in a room full of investors, and you start talking “I do this, I do that etc.” you will see that at the end, you did not really ask what can you do for them? It is like your CTA, what do you want them to do exactly: Partner with you ?, give you feedback ? So asking is an access key for your pitching. 📈

Any tips for a shy person ?

I always say it “Practice makes perfect ✨”, and also you should ask yourself what is the worst thing that can happen ?. In the end, you are there because you believe in your idea. So, have faith.
